In accordance with the (APA) Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing and PITS competency-based qualification guidelines, many tests and other materials sold by PITS are available only to those professionals who are appropriately trained to administer, score and interpret psychological tests. Eligibility to purchase restricted materials is determined on the basis of training, education and experience. Using the registration system

Each registered user is issued with a registration number. This number has two functions:

How your registration number works

Your number will look something like this: 3 01234 4 04.

The bold figure in the seventh position identifies your qualification code. In this example the code is 4.

All the PITS materials have their own product codes: GZ1, GZ2, GZ3, HR1, HR2, HR3.

Broadly speaking, materials with a GZ code (health care) are for use by psychologists, therapists, etc. Materials with a HR code (Human Resource Management) are materials for use in the recruitment and guidance process.

In order to establish which tests are available to you, you simply have to compare your qualification code against the material’s product code. The following guidelines will establish the availability of tests.

Qualification and product code

Qualification code Product code
GZ: Health Care products
1 GZ1 GZ2 GZ3
2 GZ2 GZ3
3 GZ3
HR: Human Resource Management products
4 HR1 HR2 HR3
5 HR2 HR3
6 HR3
